Shining Pearl and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond were launched in Japan.
Both remake titles, Shining Pearl and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, have dominated Japanese charts. They are now the second-largest Nintendo Switch game launch in history.
GamesIndustry.biz reported that the two games sold 1,395,642 units within three days in Japan. Based on Famitsu data, this is now the second-best record for this title, behind only Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It sold 1.8 million copies in just three days.

The record of Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond doesn’t include digital sales via the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo Life reports, however, that digital versions of these products are now considered ‘best sellers’. This suggests that they have seen high digital sales.
