For example, the media player was not able play CDs until March. Good Microsoft has announced that the functionality regarding compact discs will expand and that CD ripping support will be available from version 11.2206.30.0. This release supports music saving to files on the PC in AAC, WMA and FLAC formats.

Camera app

Microsoft also announced an update for the camera app. Version number 2024.2206.2.0 has been released. The new look and feel for the camera app is Windows 11. The camera app supports all existing modes: video, whiteboard, document and camera. It also supports scanning QR codes or barcodes.

Movies and TV

Movies & TV (version 10.22061) will also be updated. First, native Arm64 support will be added to the application, so it should run faster on corresponding devices. The local view and its file type mappings will migrate to the media player. If you wish to play video files from your hard drive, the Media Player will now open automatically and not Movies & TV.
