Fortnite: Chapter 3 brought with it many changes, including a brand new map as well as extremely powerful weapons. It’s possible to experience Fortnite with your friends. But is it possible to play splitscreen in Chapter 3?

Not yet is the answer. Epic Games disabled split-screen at Chapter 3’s start.

Split-screen will be back with Chapter 3’s first update. It is due in the Week commencing December 12th 2021.

It’s disappointing that you can’t play split-screen with your friends yet. However, Epic made this move to limit the number of possible problems at chapter launch. Split-screen is a resource-intensive feature, so it’s logical to temporarily disable it to share the load.

How to Set Up a Split Screen in Fortnite

S, and Xbox One. Split-screen is not available on Switch and PC.

Split-screen gaming on supported consoles is possible by having two controllers and 2 Fortnite/Epic Games accounts. Follow these steps to get started:

Log in to Fortnite by going to the main menu as player 1.
– Next, turn on the second controller. Log in to the second account.
– Now both players must be in the same lobby.

Split-screen Fortnite allows you to play in co-op mode with another person in the same home on the same TV. Split-screen can only be played with one person and the game runs at 30 frames per second.
