14 days of free game time due to FFXIV server issues: Here’s how it works
The launch of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker has been plagued by server congestion, long queue times and untimely disconnections. To prevent further server disruptions, Square Enix stopped selling the game. In the latest chapter of the continuing saga of FFXIV success, players will receive 14 days of complimentary subscription time.
The 14-day free game time will be applied on December 21 to eligible accounts. It is expected to take around two to three days to complete and go into effect. The account with a full FFXIV version and an active subscription, or any remaining game time, will be eligible for the free game time.
Your subscription billing date or expiration date will be moved back 14 days. Additional paid features such as the Retainer Service will also be affected by this extra time. This 14-day period of no charge game time is in addition to the seven days previously established from the initial wave server issues.
