The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, a single-player video game about the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead, was developed by Terminal Reality and published by Activision. The player plays the role of Daryl Dixon. He can fight the walkers or sneak past them. He meets survivors along the way, and they can either help him or leave. He must be careful with how much fuel, ammo, and food he has and carefully consider who and how many to bring to his group. He can choose to travel on the highway and save fuel, but he may end up breaking down quite a bit, or he could take small roads where he will be capable of scavenging from small villages and the chance of getting stuck. He can also modify the vehicle he uses, from a small truck or SUV. Dixon must be aware of how fuel is being used by the vehicles. He must make stops at different roadsides to find fuel jerry cans.
