Quake
Quake is a first-person shooter videogame which was developed by id Software. GT Interactive published it in 1996. Quake’s single-player mode allows players to explore and navigate each Gothic or dark level. They will face monsters and find secret areas. There are usually switches that can be activated or keys that can be collected to unlock doors before they can be reached. The exit is the final step to unlock the door and take the player to the next level. Three paths can be used to access an episode. They have easy, medium and hard skill levels. “Nightmare”, the fourth skill level, was “so terrible that it was hidden so people won’t stumble in by accident”. The player must pass through water to access the episode and then go into a secret passage.
