She must navigate through a city full of buildings and rooftops by running, jumping, and crawling across walls. Parkour-inspired techniques and movements are used to accomplish this feat. Owen O’Brien, the senior producer of Mirror’s Edge, stated that Mirror’s Edge is designed to “convey strain” and make physical contact with the environment. The goal of Mirror’s Edge is to allow for freedom of movement unlike anything seen in the first-person genre.
