Final Fantasy XIV Server Congestion for Endwalker’s Release
Square Enix warned that Final Fantasy 14 servers might experience congestion during the Endwalker release. They have updated their information after previously outlining the measures they will take to address these issues.
As you can see on Square Enix’s website, the Japanese publisher has confirmed that they could not obtain the resources necessary to create additional Final Fantasy XIV servers at the right time. They expect to see more server congestion after the expansion.

Some Final Fantasy 14 servers have been tagged “Congested” at the moment. These servers have enough capacity to stop connection problems from getting worse due to high player activity.
Square Enix offers tips for players who are experiencing difficulties. They recommend that you wait until your queue times before logging in or logging into instances. If players aren’t active for 30 minutes, they will be disconnected from their server.
Players who meet the Error 2002 will be able to access their Final Fantasy 14 server. There is currently a considerable queue of players waiting to get in. You have two options: wait it out, or come back later. Final Fantasy 14’s Endwalker Update will go live on December 7, 2021.
