“Battlefield 2042” Players Urge Each Other to Stop Crossplay
Battlefield2042 It’s better to have friends than enemies, players say
Others should switch off crossplay to have a smoother, faster match experience.
Battlefield2042 received a lot of hype ahead of its launch. The new game, which was a contrast to the Call of Duty titles, would explore the sci-fi environment of the previous entries and focus on multiplayer rather than the single-player campaign.
The Battlefield opinions plummeted to a 2.3 user rating on Metacritic. In our review, Imogen was positive about the beautiful graphics but felt the gameplay itself was lacking. The Battlefield players compiled a list that included everything missing from Battlefield. This included no vehicle kill assist and missing movement mechanics. Voice chat support is not available now, which is a major problem for online shooters in 2021.
Players are now taking matters into their hands while DICE is working on patches. One of these fixes is to turn off crossplay for Xbox users. Players who pulled up the drawbridge have reported that matches fill up in 60 seconds and are reliable. Players are also grabbing kills more often because there are fewer snipers, so it’s not a death sentence to strike out in the open.
Crossplay can also be disabled on the PlayStation 5. You can give it a try by selecting “Options,” then setting “General” to “Off.” Crossplay cannot be disabled while you are playing at a party or when matchmaking is taking place. When you want to turn it off, make sure you’re not in a group (even one).
