About Besiege
British developer Spiderling Studios is developing Besiege, a physics-based video game for Windows, OS X, and Linux. You can build a medieval siege engine to battle against armies or castles. You can choose from various mechanical parts to connect to create a machine. Each level has a goal such as “destroy the mill” or “kill 100 troops”. Despite being simple goals, many options allow for experimentation.
Despite the game’s medieval theme, players can build modern vehicles like tanks, automobiles and propeller planes. In December 2017, a level editor was added, and multiplayer capabilities were added. Players can also pit their vehicle creations against one another or attempt to take down a castle that another player has built. They said an advanced build mode that allows players to create complex machines.
